G Train – Crosstown Local (NYC Subway)
The G Train is a light green-line local subway service running between Court Square in Queens and Church Av in Brooklyn. It is unique as the only major NYC subway line that doesn’t enter Manhattan. The G Train serves neighborhoods across north and central Brooklyn and western Queens via the IND Crosstown Line.

🏗️ History
The G Train began service in the 1930s and evolved into a vital crosstown route. Originally extending to Forest Hills–71 Av, the current shorter route was made permanent in 2010. Despite its short length, the G plays a key role in inter-borough travel.
